This Website Privacy Policy (“Policy”) discloses the website privacy policies and practices for Overlake Hospital Medical Center and Overlake Medical Clinics (hereafter, “Overlake Medical Center & Clinics,” “our,” “we,” or “us”). This Policy applies solely to information that we collect or receive through our websites (hereafter, “Sites”) including but not limited to “overlakehospital.org,” “eastsideneuroinstitute.org," “overlakespecialtyschool.org,” “providers.overlakehospital.org,” and “overlakecareers.org.” We respect your privacy and are committed to the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information. This Policy describes what information is collected from you through the Sites, how it is used, and to whom it may be disclosed.

By accessing our Sites, you agree to the terms of this Policy and our collection, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy, please do not use our Sites.

Any information submitted by users of the Sites is for the exclusive use of Overlake Medical Center & Clinics as well as our contractors that are involved in the operation of Overlake Medical Center & Clinics’ activities and website operations. Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is the sole owner of the information collected from users through the Sites. The information that we collect through the Sites will be used by us to communicate with you, provide you with services, and for our other internal business purposes. We will not sell or license this information to any third parties. We will only disclose your information to third parties outside of our organization if: (a) the third parties provide services on our behalf (such as email newsletters or class registration), (b) such disclosure is required by law (such as to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process), or (c) exigent circumstances require us to disclose your information to protect the safety of our users or the public.

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics will take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. We also take reasonable precautions to protect your information offline. Only employees or contractors who need the information to perform a specific task (for example, developing educational resources) are granted access to personally identifiable information. We take reasonable precautions to maintain the computers in which we store personally identifiable information in a secure environment.

However, please remember that the Internet is not a 100% secure environment, and therefore we cannot, and we do not, guarantee that information you provide through the Sites will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our safeguards.

Please note that the Sites are not secure platforms for the transmission of your medical information. Do not email or otherwise disclose any of your medical information to us through the Sites. • Flash Cookies. Certain features of our Platform may use local stored objects (or Flash cookies) to collect and store information about your preferences and navigation to, from, and on our Platform. Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings as are used for browser cookies.
• Web Beacons. Pages of the Platform and our e-mails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs).  

We will not disclose any of your information collected through online tracking technologies with any third-party except to the extent they are performing services on our behalf.

5. Children

Our Sites are not intended for children under 13 years of age and no one under the age of 13 may provide any information to or on our Sites. Personally identifiable information is not knowingly collected from children under the age of 13. If we are made aware that information from a child under 13 has been collected without verification of parental consent, we will delete this information.
